Your kid just met Petey’s sock puppet. Now they can make their own.

In Petey Perfectpants, a sock puppet hijacks an entire school day. Every kid who reads it wants to know the same thing: can I do that?

This is how.

How To Make Your Sock Talk teaches the whole art in ten simple illustrated steps — how to build a sock puppet partner, and how to make it talk without moving your lips. It’s the only ventriloquism book written for kids, illustrated by former Disney animator Peter Raymundo.

And The Silly Sock Puppet Kit hands them everything they need to build one tonight. No trip to the craft store. No hunting for a spare sock. No “we’ll do it this weekend” that never quite happens.

What’s in the kit? Everything your kid needs to build a super silly sock puppet of their very own — except the glue. You’ve got glue.

Every kit gets a different sock. We pack them at random, on purpose — so no two puppets come out the same. (Same is lame.)

Scan the QR code on the bag and I’ll walk them through the build, step by step.

Why parents pick this one: ventriloquism builds confidence in exactly the kids who need it most. The shy one. The one who won’t read out loud. Put a puppet on their hand and suddenly they’ve got plenty to say — because it isn’t them talking. It’s the sock. It's also great for the hams too! LOL.

It sharpens concentration, communication and creativity. And it’s a fantastic ice breaker. Have fun.

It's a fun project to do as a family and your child will learn a new skill that will last a lifetime.

MAKE YOUR SOCK TALK: BOOK + SILLY SOCK PUPPET KIT — FAQ

**What is a good hands-on gift for a kid who loves to perform?**
This one, because it does not stop at the reading. How To Make Your Sock Talk is the only children’s book that teaches ventriloquism step by step, and the Silly Sock Puppet Kit supplies the sock and every trimming needed to build the puppet the same night. Most performing gifts are watch-only. This one ends with a kid holding something they made and a voice they invented.

**How do you teach a child ventriloquism at home?**
In ten illustrated steps. Former Disney animator Peter Raymundo drew every stage so clearly that kids as young as 7 follow along on their own, and parents usually end up learning it too. Scan the QR code on the kit bag and Jimmy walks through the build himself. No lessons, no class, no experience required — just a sock and a bit of nerve.

**What age is a sock puppet kit good for?**
The kit is labelled for ages 4 to adult, and the book is written for ages 5–10. Younger children will want a grown-up for the gluing; older kids and adults do the whole thing solo. Note the kit contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3.

**Do the sock colours vary?**
They do, and that is deliberate. Every kit is packed with a randomly chosen sock so no two puppets come out looking the same. Nobody ends up with the puppet everyone else made.

**Is the book signed?**
Yes. Jimmy signs every copy by hand, and this one ships in the same box as the rest of your order at no extra cost.
