Shipping Policy
Every book is signed before it ships.
That's the part that makes this different from ordering somewhere else, and it's also why orders take a couple of days longer to leave here. Jimmy signs them himself, at his desk, before they go in the mailer.
How long it takes
Signing and packing: 2–4 business days. If you added personalization, add a day.
Delivery: usually 2–8 business days after that. Books ship USPS Media Mail, which is the carrier's book rate — affordable, reliable, and slower than Priority. Orders that include a puppet kit or other non-book items ship USPS Ground Advantage instead, which usually runs a little quicker.
USPS doesn't guarantee Media Mail delivery dates, so treat these as typical rather than promised. Most orders land inside a week. A few take longer, particularly around the holidays.
What it costs
Your shipping cost is shown at checkout, before you pay. Nothing gets added afterward.
Where we ship
United States only, for now. International shipping on hardcover picture books costs more than the books do, and we'd rather not put you in that position. If you're outside the US and want these, email us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it work.
Personalization
If you added personalization, we'll email you right after your order to ask whose name should go in the books. Reply with the name and Jimmy writes it in every copy before they ship.
Your order waits until we hear back, so a quick reply gets your books moving faster.
Worth knowing: personalized books can't be resold, so we can only replace them if they arrive damaged.
If something goes wrong
Damaged in transit: email a photo to info@bellylaughbooks.com and we'll send a replacement. No need to return the damaged one — give it to someone who won't mind a bent corner.
Lost in the mail: if tracking hasn't moved in seven business days, tell us and we'll sort it out.
Wrong address: email us fast. Before it ships we can fix it. Once USPS has it, we can't.
